WALL AND CEILING PANELS

The Vanscadia panel kit is specially designed to fit the Ford Transit cargo van. The wall and ceiling panels fasten to holes and other existing features of the stock van using cross nuts, rivet nuts and custom hardware. There is no drilling, cutting or welding of the van. This means no self-tapping screws to work loose, no rust from exposed paint, and no leaks to worry about! The panels are made of marine plywood and come unfinished. Sand and stain them for a natural look, or paint them any color you’d like.

It starts with a blank slate. The wall panels have a standard grid of steel inserts on which modular kit components can be mounted. Choose where to locate each unit and customize your van layout to best suit your needs. Ceiling panels available with or without fan cut outs.

MODULAR UNITS

Modular unit options include a self contained galley, floor based racks and cabinets, and overhead shelves and cabinets. There’s flexibility to build your van out as your base camp for adventure, whether that means hitting up the local trail, going national park hopping or camping out at the festival. It can be set up to be a weekend warrior’s quick escape to the mountains, or long haul expedition rig and home on wheels. More units are in development, so let us know what you’d want in your van!

The modular are made from UV cured, pre-finished birch plywood and come flat packed. We recommend sanding the edges smooth and finishing with OSMO Top Oil.

platform bed

The Vanscadia bed platform is made of 4 lightweight and stiff panels that can be mounted at 3 different heights, depending on what sort of gear you want to haul. Quick release rubber latches allow it to be taken out completely in seconds, fully freeing up the cargo area.

The lowest mounting position provides the most headroom while hanging out on the bed, and the highest position provides the most vertical cargo volume for tall loads like motorcycles. The middle position is a compromise of the two, and allows most mountain bikes to leave their front wheels on while providing a comfortable amount of head room up on the bed.

4 panel construction keeps the weight down and increases maneuverability in tight spaces. The panels are made of UV cured pre-finished plywood with powder coated steel stiffeners. The panels can be used with inflatable camping style pads, but is vented for traditional mattresses.

The panels are held down with rattle free rubber latches that can be left in place when the panels are removed. Flush mounted LED strip lighting under the bed to help you keep track of your gear.
